Budget 'all-out assault' on N.L., Byrne says


The federal budget is an "all-out assault" on Newfoundland and Labrador and an attempt to punish Premier Danny Williams, which is why six MPs from the province voted against it, says Liberal MP Gerry Byrne.

Byrne, the MP for Humber-St. Barbe-Baie Verte, and five of his provincial colleagues voted against the Conservative budget Tuesday, charging that it robs the province of about $1.6 billion in federal funding.

And how much did you make in oil revenue ? It's never stated.


Speaking Wednesday morning on Canada AM, Byrne said Harper has amended the terms of the Atlantic Accord without warning. The Accord protects Newfoundland and Labrador from reductions in equalization payments despite revenue from offshore oil reserves.


Oh ? There's a name for this piracy ? The Atlantic Accord. It's actual official piracy ? Let me google that and see what clown made this agreement ...hmmm 2005 ... who was in power in 2005 ? Hmmm... article about the newfoundlanders hating harper because he opposed the accord ...Aha ! It was the Hundred Million Dollar Man , Paul Martin , a Liberal. (I call him that because 100 million in tax payers money went missing while he was finance minister, and then he got elected prime minister anyways ! )

Of course a Liberal would hand big business money by the truck load , that was a given , I just wanted to find the proper quote to prove it.
