The amount of Ontario lottery prize money claimed by insiders over 13 years is almost double what was originally thought, a professional analysis of prize data shows.
Deloitte, in an analysis of data provided by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, found $198 million, or 3.4 per cent of total winnings, was claimed by insiders in the past 13 years.
Not that I ever thought that the lottery was a good idea in the first place, but these people are STEALING !!! , and they're getting away with it.
...and limit potential fraud by people who sell lottery tickets.
Translation : They can't do it as easily, but they still do it.
"For the past two years, the organization has been better protecting players, and this in-depth analysis of 13 years of lottery data confirms we are on the right path and gives us great insight to drive even greater changes into our business," he said.
Translation : After 13 years of this stuff ... it's still going on. We're on the right path , we have greater insight , blah blah blah ... still happening. The THEFT of honest citizens continues.
There's money on the table. The game is fixed. Just like Las Vegas. Just like every casino in the world. It's very simple really.
Riches come from the new ways of doing things , the new technologies. The old ways everyone pounces on and crushes the life out of. There was a time when saving up and buying a house was a path to riches. Now it's a path to poverty as everyone EXCEPT the home owner benifits from it. There was a time when putting money in the bank was the way to go. Now inflation goes crazy and the dollar is badly devalued AND you're taxed on that money anyways on top of everything else ...
Somedays I just don't know. Some days I think it may be no longer possible for hard work to make anyone rich. Blind luck seems to be the only determining factor lately.
