The numbers , pure and simple, in Iraq

U.S. deaths in Iraq reach 3,000

The identity of the 3,000th military death could not be precisely determined as the exact times of deaths late last week were not immediately available.

.
.
More than 22,000 other U.S. troops have been wounded in Iraq since the war began nearly four years ago

It took the enemey 4 years to kill 3000 enemey troops.
Thats 750 per year.
More importantly , troops are only stationed in Iraq for 6 months at a time, so thats 375 casualties per rotation.

The US has a standing force of at least 100 000 troops (in Iraq), sometimes as high as 150 000 troops. But we'll use the lower number.

375 / 100 000 = 0.00375= 0.375% chance of you dying during your rotation to Iraq. Thats one third of one percent chance of death , over a six month rotation.

This begs the question , are these casualties of war numbers ? Or are these traffic fatality numbers ? these number are rediculously low for enemey activity.

And Bush had to confess to "losing" the war in Iraq.

yeah , right.
