Bell gets fresh Virgin blood, takes bite out of youth segment

Article

ell Canada has revealed a new retail strategy targeting the youth market...

The Source (including La Source in Quebec) will exclusively offer Bell and Virgin Mobile wireless products from January 2010, getting rid of ranges from other operators such as Shaw.

Ah the youth market. Yes. Young. Stupid. A few bucks in their pocket. Not aware of the predator that Bell has become that everyone quickly learns to avoid.

I think the usual claim is they want to get these people to sign up and be bell customers for life, but after a single three year contract , lousy service, and being treated as nothing but a source of income with no consideration at all for what I want (Ie: refusing to block certain services and forcing me against my will to buy packages for internet as an example) I"m never going back to them, and neither will anyone else who's been done over by these clowns. They're not really "building" any kind of long term empire at all , they're just managers who are only around for a little while, tricking you into a three year contract that they know you'll never ever renew, but they won't be there when the house of cards falls apart.

And neither will I.
