2002: Security Now Job One

Microsoft Corp. puts out fix for a security flaw in its Internet Explorer

...because computer users could come under attack just by visiting a Web site that had been manipulated to take advantage of the flaw. That, in turn, would give an attacker complete control of a user's computer,...

In other words, visit the wrong web site , poof ! Infected, emails stolen ,credit card numbers stolen , you now have half a dozen virii on your computer, and you didn't even get a warning or a little pop up window asking for your permission.

In 2002 Bill Gates stated that Security was Now Job One.

It's 2006. He's had 4 years. You're still at the point where you wander off the beaten path on your computer on the internet explorer and you could potentially lose your life savings , your bank account emptied of the rent, your personality stolen , your house sold from right underneath you, and more, just because you're 10 year old hit the wrong web site.

This is not acceptable.
Get off the internet explorer.
