Muslim world demands Lebanon ceasefire, peace role

PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia (Reuters) - Leaders from the Muslim world, spearheaded by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on Thursday sought an immediate end to Israeli attacks on Lebanon and inclusion of Muslim forces in any future peacekeeping operation

United Nations banner," Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Malaysia's prime minister and host of the conference, said in remarks prepared for delivery behind closed doors. "Malaysia is ready to do that."

The standing lebanese government actually has no control over that area since the Hezbolla kicked them out , and is basically telling Israel to "go for it" . I believe the result of their last "emergancy meeting" was to tell us that no one should attack their soilders (which are no where near the fighting) or they will defend themselves.
