Apply for Disablity

Aug 4th , was my last day of work.

Work wants me to apply for disablity because my attenence sucks.
My attendence sucks, by the way , because I'm exhausted all the
time , and I really can't breath properly.

Apply for a doctor's appt on monday. OOps doc is on holiday , finally get ahold of him (his secretary actually) and get an apt for Aug 18

18th rolls around , My wife makes me almost late, I just arrive in time for the appointment. So there's no waiting in the waiting room I go right in and the docotr shows up right away.

No, thats not quite true.

What really happened is , I got off the elevator , on a wheel chair pushed by my wife , because it was a really long walk from the bus stop, checked in with the desk , and , gasping for breath as is my want if I've walked more than 25 meters, I was denied my usual 10 min of rest before seeing anyone.

The nurse who asked me the usual questions hustled out quick and almost dragged the doctor in so he could see me gasping away as if I'd just run a marethon. The doctor mentioned several times that if climing a flight or two of stairs did this to me I might not survive the operation so he was cancelling it (I never did get to tell him I never actually climbed any stairs to get into this condition) , and he sent me off to see a specialist.

And he kept the insurance forms. The ones I'm using to apply for short term disability ? HE KEPT THEM ! ARRRRg ! Rent is coming up soon and I ahvn't worked since the 4th of the month and now I have no source of income !

PHone around and find out there's some kind of Public Works or unemployment or whatever for a situation like this ,and so Now I'm gathering paperwork for an appointment with them on fri aug 25.

Call the doctor 20 times on monday , left 2 messages. No answer. Tues I get a clal for my appointment with the breathing specialist.

Sept 5.

Ahhh....this is taking forever !

I dread to think what happens if I get turned down. No savings , havn't worked in a month , credit card near maxed out ...
