Calgary man loses $20K after eBay sale hijacked

When Duraj complained to eBay, the company wrote him a letter saying someone had temporarily taken over, or hijacked, the seller's page, and that he would have to contact police and the FBI.

(RCMP Cpl. Louis)Robertson said he believes eBay is ignoring police and customers because it doesn't want people to know criminals have figured out how to abuse the site.




Online sites are for advertising. Nothing more. Don't buy jack from those guys if you can afford it, show up at the store in person. The prettiest, most wonderful sites are the ones most likely to be fraudulent , you understand.

Nice of eBay to say "tough luck buddy , we aint re-imbursing you a dime."
