Remote TV recording technology gets go-ahead from U.S. court

Cablevision, which has three million subscribers in the New York metro area, has launched targeted, interactive advertising in half a million households and plans to double that number by year's end. TiVo's DVR users already see ads when they pause or fast-forward shows.


Doug and Bob head over to Bob's house for a few beers.

"Just a sec, " say's Bob. "Gotta take a leak, beer's in the fridge"

Doug sits down on the couch , picks up the remote flicks it on.

"And before our feature presentation , we have noticed that you watch a lot of gay porn so we would like to introduce you our latest offering , The All Boys Gay Church Choir Channel ! Featuring ..."

Bob comes out of the bathroom. "Where's the beer ? "

"Umm...I'm sorry Bob , the wife just called. Some kind of emergancy, I'll catch you later. " leaves in a hurry.

Targetted ads, hah ! You thought illegal wire taps by the RCMP were bad ? You thought it was already bad with only 22 minutes of show and 38 minutes of commercials ? You aint seen nothing yet !

Let the Mind Control Begin ! This guy dared to click on a computer ad I want his house spammed to death with computer offers we need to convince him to BUY BUY BUY I don't care how over extended his credit card is thats not my problem ....
