Part of Anti-terrorism Act violates charter: judge

Article

Not really interestd in the main point that this artical is braying about , but it doesn mention further down two other points that should be frightening to most canadians.

Preventive arrest allows police to arrest someone they believe might commit a terrorist act.

Letmme get this straight. You can arrest people anywhere , any time, that havn't actually done anything ? ...ummmm.... hello totalitarian state ?

Investigative hearings allow judges to compel people to appear as material witnesses and prosecute them should they refuse.

...ummm yeah ! You can force them to testify and punish them if they do not. What do you mean by TESTIFY ? You mean , of course , to have them tell a particular story YOU made up , so as to throw someone else in the clink for good.

... hello dictatorship ! Goodbye freedoms !

Neither measure has yet been used.

someone will. I guarentee it. Someone always pushes their luck , it's human nature.
