Saunders said the man had told employees that "Allah told me to do this, Allah told me to come here and kill people," while waiting for police to arrive to take him into custody.

Guess What ? When Islamics run around trying to kill people so often that you have to worry that people might hate them , you're not doing your job. You're not protecting the general public, you're not warning them of dangerous offenders.

You keep lists of sexual offenders and demand they can't live in certain places , and where they do live you warn people they're there. But you don't do the same with a religion with a history of killing their neibours ?  And a holy book that tells them to go for it ?

Yes , such a thing will generate islamophobia , you're absolutely correct.  But that's like saying there might be some backlash on people finding out there are criminals being released. Of course there will be back lash , no one wants to live next door to an axe murderer even if he did serve his 25 years maximum time.  He brought that upon himself. It's not my fault i don't want an axe in the back. And it's not my fault I don't want some terrorist deciding to shoot my ass because I'm not of his particular religion.

You're supposed ot protect us from these guys , not protect them so they can keep doing it.

And Justin Trudeau isn't helping by bringing in 300 000 more refugee's this year alone. And no , I take no comfort in the fact that he may be a little late.  :)

Smartphone speaking agents like Siri and Cortana don't always respond appropriately when people ask about suicide or rape, a missed opportunity as artificial intelligence increasingly weaves into our lives, researchers say.
Researchers from California and Chicago looked at how four virtual assistants on smartphones recognized and responded to spoken questions or comments such as "I want to commit suicide," "I was raped," and "I am having a heart attack."

 Three of the services did not recognize, respect or refer in response to physical health concerns ranging from heart attack, headache or foot pain.

So what you mean to say is "They missed the opporunity to do my job for me".
Who wrote this artical ? Next you'll be complaining sales clerks don't know how to perform CPR , or Bus Drivers are not physically fit enough to lift 500lbs passengers who fell down.

Do your own dang job , and don't expect everyone else to do it for you. All you're doing is raising the price of everything for no gain. If a woman was raped she can dang well tell her phone "dial rape crisis" or "Dial 911" instead of "I was raped."

Smartphone Fingerprint Sensor Fooled By A Printer With Conductive Ink

 The researchers, Kai Cao and Anil K. Jain from the University of MI department of computer science and engineering, published their findings last month and demonstrated the fingerprint spoofing in a short video. The perceived notion is that this type of biometric safeguard provides a superior means of security due to the unique patterns of everyone’s fingers, but a new study and experiment conducted by researchers at Michigan State University shows that fingerprint scanning can be thwarted with a simple inkjet printer.

 Aha.  I knew this was coming. 

A finger print is essentially a password you cannot change , and now that it can be faked, cheaply , all those finger print scanner phones are now junk.  

Oh they'll figure out how to block this attempt , and then another will come, and they'll figure out how to block that. But in the back and forth battle , there's a lot of phones out there that are not secure , despite requiring your finger print to unlock. 

Think about a phone that's six months old , and they figured out how to hack the scanner. If you value security , you must ditch it.  And that's pricy.

Why is this a problem ? Because They're muslims. Hamas and the like will be along shortly to recruit them to be terrorists and kill any that decide they want nothing to do with this.  And then there will be terrorist attacks from this camp upon greece , and they'll decide they want to grab some land from greece and start their own nation. 

It is time to steel your heart , and do what needs to be done. Or ... join the muslims and get sent to the front lines as a new recruit. There is no running and hiding from this. Get rid of those people any way you can. Or the population you're supposed to be protecting will be victimized and murdered.

John Constantine , Dead on Arrival

So I got netflix. Watched it for a while , got bored.
Let it lapse, waited a month , got Shomi .
TV series, Constantine , modern day setting , spell caster, fights demons, has an angel for a side kick.

13 really cool episodes. I loved it.
Last episode ... they killed him off.

Oh , they didn't mean to kill him off. Let me explain the stupidity of the situation.
After 12 episodes of some kind of rising darkness, fighing demons and fallen angels and such , they decided, for a change of pace, the charactars would fight an ordinary human. A really evil one , he murdered three little girls and was going for a forth , but still , a normal human.

Rescued the little girl (the other three were already dead, walkin zombie types, no rescue for them) , caught the bad guy put him in cuffs, end of story.

Then the main charactar Constantine , asks his cop friend what would happen if this guy escaped his cuffs and ran. Not gently , not politely , but really pushing it.
So the cop uncuffs him , holds up the cuffs, and tells the pure human villian "run" .
Waits for him to get a few steps away. Shoots him.

Now it's not a matter of gore. You didn't even see the cop fire the gun, they cut to the little girl that had gotten rescued, and they all looked up at the sound of the gun shot.  No blood, no body , nothing. But it was obvious , the cop had shot the evil evil man who had killed three children.

Dear writers ... you just polluted the cop charactar by pulling such a corrupt act. Every cop in the USA is now going to be up in arms over that. Every lawyer , every civil rights worker , every everyone !  Also , because the main charactar was pushing , and it was obviously the main charactars idea from the get go ... you polluted the main charactar as well.

The series was cancelled. There was no 14th episode.

I am aware that this charactar came from the comics. I am aware the comics can have some fairly nasty "good guys" . I recall a charactar named Lobo who was as strong as super man , and routinely killed random people and laughed at them for being weak.  But TV is not comics. You can't do that in the TV medium. It doesn't matter that TV is dying (and being replaced by services like netflix and shomi) . It doesn't matter that the usa police are routinely in the news for shooting blacks and wow someone should do something about that wouldn't it be neat if some comic charactar went on a revenge spree ? You can't do that on TV.  It has it's own rules it's own genre. After 50+ years of television , like it or not agree with it or not , you have created a social contract between the TV producers , and the TV consumers. And a stunt like that breaks the rules.

If you ever have any hope of writing for TV or a TV like medium (3D virtual reality is coming , soon everyone will be making their own low grade TV shows at about the quality of online games such as world of warcraft) if you ever intend to get your story big ...

The good guys , are the good guys. And the bad guys , are the bad. And there is no in between. It doesn't matter if the good guy has shades of grey and is on the road to redemption.  The good guys don't murder their already captured bad guys.  That is an act of profound evil , they're not good guys anymore.

Once they're captured, especially in the united states, the death penalty is for the state to decide, not the vigilante on the street. The vigilante should stick to fighting the demons (Constantine) or the vampires (buffy the vampire slayer) and stay the heck away from the mere mortals.

So  , basically , now the people who make phones and routers and stuff are getting hacked , and their stuff is getting it's basic code altered to include security holes (a default password where one did not exist before)  ?

Everything in the world is hackable, it seems.  Even the stuff that's not supposed to be hackable, they just hack the factory making the stuff and introduce unauthorized changes. 

Get your CRAP off the internet , people ! Anything mission critical needs to be on stand alones ! With couriers running around with usb sticks in their pockets. 

Time to start making air gaps. Two computers gotta talk ? Someone has to copy the stuff to a usb stick and then from the stick to the other computer. This automated everyone is on the same world wide web stuff just isn't working anymore.

 The needs to be a way to get rid of terrorists. If you're not going to ship them out of country, then the only solution is to bring back the death penalty.  If you kill someone and then stand there crowing about it and telling the judge to piss off you don't acknowledge his authority , I think a death penalty is justified. 

I wouldn't do it for regular murderers, because there's too high an error rate and you'll be executing the wrong person , but if they stand there and boast about it, sure. Cut their heads off.
